FIRST GENERATION (2002-2013)

This van was received to critical acclaim and won several awards including the "Van of the year" in the year of 2004. The first generation of the Ford Transit Connect shares surprisingly few components with the larger Ford Transit vehicle. The platform which this vehicle is based on is the C170 platform which was later succeeded by the Ford C1 platform. This platform is a front-wheel drive platform and was utilised with the Ford Focus. The first generation of the Ford Transit Connect received a facelift/update in the year of 2010. This update included the a redesigned grille on the vehicle along with changes to the bumper and dashboard of the vehicle.
