The Honda Accord began production in the year of 1976. The Honda Accord comes in multiple variants including the coupé, wagon, hatchback and crossover styles. As with the Honda Civic, in different regions across the world the Honda Accord has been available in different body styles and designs. The car has been received to critical acclaim across the world and has won multiple awards.

Since the Honda Accord's inception, the car has gone through nine generations of vehicle.

Honda Accord- Sixth Generation (1998-2002)

The Honda Accord released for this generation of vehicle was different in performance from the other Honda Accords released in other regions. The Honda Accord in the European region was denoted "Type R." the European variant differed in styling elements to the US and Japanese versions of the car and was additionally shorter in length to these vehicles.
