Audi A4 Engine Models- First Generation (1996-2003)

This generation of Audi began production in 1994 and ceased in the year 2001. This generation was based on the Volkswagen Group B5 (PL45) platform and consequently shares similar engine orientation to the following models of car;

Audi A4 Engine Models- Second Generation (2000-2006)

The 1.6L standard model remained the same but the majority of petrol engines received an upgrade for this generation. This generation was now based on the Volkswagen Group B6 (PL46) platform and shared engine orientation with the Audi A4-Typ 8E/8H and the Audi S4-Typ 8E/8H.
