FIAT 2.4L MULTIJET RECONDITIONED ENGINES SUPPLIED & FITTED

The 2.4L Multijet engine from Fiat is a straight-5 engine with two versions however only one is used in Fiat models:

• Displacement:2,387 cc (145.7 cu in)
  
• Power:136 PS (100 kW; 134 hp)
  
• Torque:400 N·m (295 lb·ft) at 1500 rpm
  
• Bore: 82 mm
  
• Stroke:90.4 mm
  

This engine is used in the following Fiat Models:

• Fiat Croma II 2.4L
  
  
• Fiat Marea 2.4L
  

REPORTED FIAT 2.4L MULTIJET ENGINE PROBLEMS/FAULTS

We are unaware of any major issues with the Fiat 2.4L MultiJet engine, although some owners have reported slow and sluggish starts in cold weather with can be resolved by replacing the injectors however this is not a cheap solution. As with any engine improper care can result in decreased performance and/or damage. The most common engine problems we encounter are caused by:

• Deprivation of oil
  
• Fuel Pump failure
  
• Cam chain jumping

• Wear-out of piston rings
