KNOWN JAGUAR 4.2 ENGINE FAULTS


There are no know common faults with this engine however, neglect of your engine will decrease performance and eventually cause damage. The most common reported problems with engines are:
  • Fuel pump blockage / failure
  • Overheating engine
  • Wear-out of piston rings
  • Oil deprivation
  • Injector failure
  • Cam chain jumping
Ignoring any of these problems will cause serious damage to your engine!
