LAND ROVER 2.5L TD5 RECONDITIONED ENGINES SUPPLIED & FITTED
Engine Engineering can supply and fit Land Rover 2.5L TD5 reconditioned engines here at Land Rover Reconditioned Engines. Originally developed by the Rover Group in the mid 1990s this engine is a 5-cylinder in-line cast iron and aluminium alloy engine with the following specifications:
- Displacement: 2493cc
- Bore: 94.0mm
- Stroke: 71.1mm
- Compression Ratio: 19.5:1
- Power Output: 122 hp (91 kW) @ 4,850 rpm
- Torque Output: 221 lbf·ft (300 N·m) @ 1,950 rpm
2.5L TD5 DIESEL ENGINE FAULTS AND ERRORS
Engine Engineering are unaware of any common issues with this engine. Improper use / care of your engine will however result in decreased performance and eventually damage. The most common engine failures we see are caused by:
- Piston Rings wore out
- Injector Failure
- Failure of Fuel Pump
- Engine Overheating
- Oil deprivation
- Cam chain jamming
