Land Rover Discovery I (1989-1998)

Initially the Land Rover Discovery was only available in the 3 door variant, in the year of 1990 the five door variant was made available.
The Land Rover Discovery I began production in 1989 where it continued until 1998. The Land Rover Discovery I was initially released as a 3 door model until 1990 where a 5 door model of the Land Rover Discovery I was made available. One of the major features of the Land Rover discovery was the interior design which was considered to be highly innovative which won the Land Rover Discovery many awards for that field. Land Rover Discovery II (1998-2009)

For this generation both internally and externally the vehicle saw changes which attempted to add more class to the vehicle. Overall, however, the vehicle retained a lot of the features of the Land Rover Discovery I. A Diesel 2.5l Td5 engine was introduced along with a Petrol 4.0L Range Rover P38 Thor V8 engine was also made available. Land Rover Discovery III (2003-2009)

The engines used for this vehicle are Ford/PSA 2.7l V6 diesel engine. 4.4l petrol was also made available. In addition to this many technical features were equipped within the Discovery 3. Additionally a new interior and exterior of the vehicle were featured which focused on a minimalistic design. Technical features such as Bluetooth were also featured. The Discovery 3 was received to critical acclaim, the handling, off road capabilities and the interior design of the vehicle received particular attention. Land Rover Discovery IV Engines (2009-2016)

The fourth generation of the Land Rover Discovery was made available in the year of 2010. It is an evolution of the Discovery 3 and features minor changes to the headlights of the vehicle and grille. Most changes come internally within the vehicle. New engines were made available for the vehicle- 3.0l TDV6 Gen III and a 2.7l engine used in the D3 are available from the Jaguar Land Rover "Gen III" range of engines.
