The Mercedes C-Class comes under the classification of a "Compact Executive Car".Production began in the year of 1993. Since its inception the Mercedes C-Class has gone through four generations of vehicle.

Mercedes C-Class: Second Generation [W203] (2000-2007)

This generation of the C-Class came out in the year of 2000.

The Engines available for this generation were a range of inline-four and V6 petrol engines and inline-four and -five diesel engines. Several engines from the previous generation of C-Class were kept. The diesel engines available in this generation were available with common rail direct fuel injection and VGTs.
