The Vectra from this generation was available in Saloon, hatchback and estate styles. This generation was the first to have an estate style.
in the year of 1999 the Vectra B received a mild facelift which involved the external change to the body- however this change was only a mild one.

The Vectra C began production in the year of 2002 and as with the previous generation of Vectra- this generation was available in the Saloon, hatchback and estate styles. The Vectra C had a greater kerb weights than the previous generation of Vectra. As a result of this, the range of engines available was significantly modified to take this in to account.
Critics deemed this generation of Vectra to improve upon the previous generation of Vectra in terms of handling.
In the year of 2005 the Vectra C received a facelift, the range of engines remained similar, with some of the existing engines receiving an increase in power.
