The Renault Clio began production in 1990 and since its inception it has gone through four generations of car. It comes under the "Supermini" classification. Critics respond to the Renault Clio very positively and it has been a highly successful car throughout the United Kingdom and Europe since its launch in the year of 1990. The Clio has won several awards including winning the title of; "European Car of the Year" in the years of 1991 and 2006 respectively.

In 200 a sport version of Clio was released and the whole set of initial engines were upgraded to be more powerful than they previously were.
