SEAT 1.6L TSI ENGINE FAULTS


There is no known general problems with this engine, although as if any engine there are several reasons which can result in the engine becoming damaged or malfunctioning. Many of the issues which arrive can occur due to a lack of maintenance of the engine. Problems may arise due to wear on the engine due to high mileage which has been travelled. The most common problems which arise with the engine include:
  • Cam chain jumping
  • Injector failure
  • Piston rings wearing out
  • Fuel pump failure
  • Engine overheating
  • Oil deprivation
